We practice a style of acupuncture that uses points below the knee, below the elbow as well as on the face and on the ear. These are places of powerful distal treatment for pain elsewhere in the body. Mount Airy Community Acupuncture is committed to bringing you better health and a better way of life by teaching and practicing true principles of acupuncture. 
Research in the United States (as well as in the thousands of years of tradition in the Orient) shows that acupuncture is very effective when treatments are performed frequently and regularly. We have many options to make sure you are staying on a regular plan. 
 Many acute problems require multiple treatments in the beginning.  Because of this Mount Airy Community Acupuncture works with a sliding scale.  Patients decide what their payments will be, between $20 to $40, depending on what they can afford. There are no income verifications or insurance checks.  Patients may change what they pay depending on their own circumstances.  The purpose of this sliding scale is to separate out the issues of payment and getting well. We want you to be able to come often enough to get better and stay better.
